Ran on strongly from the home turn to win over 1900m at Kyoto on 1 February. Best form is over longer trips than this but racing well.

Bridge Effect

Backmarker who has shown ability in three career starts, including victory over 1700m at Fukushima on 22 November. One of the place chances.

Coeli Vento

Has been mixing form. Won over this course and distance on 21 February but then showed little when 15th of 16 at Nakayama over 1800m on 14 March. Needs to lift.

Domain

Consistent galloper who followed successive third placings with all-the-way victory over 1900m at Kyoto on 25 January. Place hope, but this is tougher.

Keiai Amazon

Revelled in soft going to win here over 1800m in December but was then well-beaten at Chukyo over 1800m on 14 March. This looks tough.

Lufada

Hard to knock his form with two seconds and a win from his last three starts. Caught the eye with strong course and distance victory here on 8 March. Respect.

Quinault

Impressed with debut win over this course and distance as a two-year-old in December but faded badly to finish eighth last start at Kyoto. Needs to improve.

Serge Barows

Led throughout to score over 1900m at Chukyo on 21 March. Likes to roll forward and dictate. Yuga Kawada retains the ride.

Silver Ratio

Promising galloper who followed 1800m victory at Kyoto in October with successive runner-up finishes also at Kyoto over 1800m. One of the top chances.

Sky Stripes

Won easily over this course and distance in December as a two-year-old before finishing fourth over 1800m at Kyoto on 5 January. Hard to beat.

Taisei Jade

Finished stoutly to win on debut over 1600m in February and not disgraced when fourth over 1800m at Nakayama on 1 March. Definite chance.

Vocalize

Improving type proven at this course and distance with tough win here on 6 December. Seems to be getting better with experience and one of the main chances.
