Light Infantry Man

Led but no match for Birdman when 2.05L fourth of seven in G2 1800m at Caulfield on 14 March. Is a winner at the track and distance. Will again give a big sight in front.

Apulia

Worked home strongly last start on 14 March to finish 1.75L behind Birdman in G2 1800m at Caulfield. One of the contenders.

Just Fine

Dictated terms when led over 2000m at Rosehill on 14 March. Was in front until 150m mark and faded for 1.87L third. Can give cheek again.

Birdman

Ideally suited here after past two G2 wins at 1600m and 1800m, including 1.75L win when settled third and cruised to lead for soft Caulfield win. Take beating again.

Sabaj

Steps up to 2000m for the first time. Just beaten 0.7L fourth to Tom Kitten in G1 All-Star Mile (1600m) here last start. Ready to peak in third run this campaign.

Mark Twain

Much improved run last start for new trainer when charged home from rear for 1.85L third in G2 over 1600m here on 28 February. Has talent but needs to repeat last effort to figure.

Pride Of Jenni

Bold front-running mare who can never be underestimated. Finished third first-up, beaten 0.55L in G1 All-Star Mile (1600m) here on 7 March. Plenty of appeal again.

Damask Rose

Rises to 2000m for the first time. Finished a narrow second in G3 here over 1600m against own sex on 7 March. Will need improvement on last start Caulfield seventh in G2 1600m.

Leica Lucy

Had outstanding form in New Zealand but is yet to win in six Australian starts but has gone close. Last start was 1.56L sixth in G1 1600m. This distance suits.

Basilinna

Won here in Listed 2800m May 2025. Finished well back to Birdman when first up in G2 1800m on 14 March. This is too tough.

Philia

Won four in a row last year, including G2 2000m fillies’ race. Unlucky two starts ago here when held up badly for G3 fourth. Okay last start 2.85L in G2 1600m fourth. Needs improvement.
