The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) announced today that it will fully transition to one-time password (OTP) SMS authentication for digital services starting on 3 March 2026. From that date onwards, the login process through answering security questions will be completely discontinued.

To further enhance account security and simplify the login process, the Club introduced OTP SMS authentication in May 2025 in alignment with market technology advances. By completing a few simple steps to link their betting accounts to personal digital devices via OTP SMS, customers* can enjoy a faster and more seamless login experience.

Starting from 3 March 2026, customers will no longer be able to use security questions to log in. They must use either biometric authentication or OTP SMS to log in to their betting accounts. Customers who have not registered their mobile number with the Club, or whose registered number cannot receive OTP SMS, can update their mobile number via the Classic 3-in-1 app#, or approach our service team at Off-Course Betting Branches or Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses (during race days), to enable OTP SMS authentication.
