At the Happy Valley racemeeting conducted on Wednesday, 4 February 2026, Apprentice E C W Wong was found guilty of a charge of careless riding and was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong racemeeting to be conducted on Sunday, 22 February 2026, in addition to being fined the sum of $25,000.

Stewards have subsequently acceded to a request from Apprentice Wong to vary the date of the suspension and accordingly he is now suspended from riding at the Sha Tin racemeeting to be conducted on Thursday, 19 February 2026.
