The Stewards have interviewed Mr M Newnham, trainer of ONE MORE (K261), which is a declared starter in the aforementioned race, following the horse taking charge of its rider this morning and galloping two laps of the Sha Tin Small All Weather Track. Mr Newnham advised the horse appears to have pulled up without any issue but the stable would continue to monitor the horse over the coming days.

ONE MORE has been examined by Mr Newnham’s Stable Veterinary Surgeon and Dr Bronte Forbes, Head of Veterinary Regulation, Welfare and Biosecurity Policy, with no significant findings detected. Accordingly, ONE MORE has been passed suitable to be presented for the routine pre-race veterinary inspection to be conducted tomorrow 17 January 2026.
