| 3 | Clair De Lune | Won at the course and distance back in June and has shown enough in her 9 starts to suggest she can be competitive here. However, she was disappointing when ninth last time out and will need to improve on that. |
| 4 | Alltheboysiveloved | Made a promising start to her career with two wins and two placings from her first five starts but isn’t at her best at the moment after running 13th of 14 last month. Will need to improve. |
| 5 | Jordash | A course-and-distance winner at her second of three career starts and looks capable on her day. Sidelined by injury since July, however, and could need the run. |
| 6 | Lock And Key | Connections will be hoping a drop back to 1200m can extract the best from this galloper after a string of mixed efforts over longer trips. Outside chance. |
| 7 | Papillon Blu | Reeled off three straight victories during the middle of last year and has maintained solid form since. Steps back up to the trip of those three wins after a 1000m fourth last start. |
| 8 | Festival Chic | Comes off a 7th finish in a 1000m G3 and looks poised to enjoy the step up in distance. Can figure in the finish. |
| 9 | Sohot Sowhat | Returned to form with an eye-catching second at the course and distance last start and that run suggests she is among the leading chances here. |
| 10 | Pink Pigeon | Two winners and seven placings in 12 starts. Certainly looks set to be around the mark here. Impressed when a close second last start and can go one better. |
| 11 | Wild Applause | Crossed the line in close proximity to Pink Pigeon when running 4th in November and should run a big race after a freshen-up. Could start favourite and must be considered. |
| 12 | Miss William | Victorious in two of her past five runs and in the placings in two others, 7th last time is the only real blip on this galloper’s record in recent runs. Can figure with improvement. |
| 13 | Vroom Vroom | Has hardly put a foot wrong in her first two career starts, finishing second on debut before winning at the second time of asking. Will need to improve off that victory in maiden grade but looks to have something in hand. |
