Jockey Alexis Badel has submitted an application to withdraw his appeal against the severity of the penalties imposed by the Racing Stewards on 26 November 2025 to suspend him from riding in races for two charges of careless riding [Rule 100 (1)] when he rode GLORY CLOUD in Race 1 and TACTICAL COMMAND in Race 3 that evening.

The Appeal Panel has approved Jockey Badel’s application and he will serve the original suspensions imposed by the Racing Stewards on 26 November 2025. He will be suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday 17 December 2025 and to expire on Sunday 21 December 2025 (2 Hong Kong racedays), and for another period to commence on Tuesday 23 December 2025 and to expire on Sunday 28 December 2025 (2 Hong Kong racedays).
