1800m – Turf

Ask Episode

First time extended to the distance since November 2022. Ran 1600m but finished last in his most recent start. Has a good turn of foot.

Cosmo Spumoni

Scratched due to setback last time in March. Will be run for the first time in 10 months. Settles handy.

Fairylike

Showed promise as a three-year-old when contesting graded stakes. Has twice finished second at this level and sets a strong standard here. Ran on well last start, beaten 0.5L. Versatile ground-wise and a leading chance if settling.

G T Man

Last start saw a strong closing contest, with the final 400m in quick time. Did well to chase down the leader. Lightly raced with upside, and recent work suggests he is improving.

Haidizhen

Pull up the race due to the nosebleed in his previous start last summer and will be the first race up since. His two wins were over this trip. Ground-wise he is a versatile type.

Ho O Trump

Slow to mature and failed to win in JRA maidens, but returned from Sonoda in NAR circuit to score impressively at 1 win class. Led and sustained a strong finish. Held third last start and remains progressive, with further improvement likely.

Meiner Full Moon

Both wins have come over 1800m, highlighting his suitability for the trip. Last start, when 4th, the leader went clear early and he may have been held up too far back. Proven at this track and can be competitive.

More Rigid

Has adopted more positive tactics this season, going forward from the start. That change has brought improvement, finishing in the top five three times from four runs. Appears to be in good form and holding his condition well.

Omega Imperial

Suited by the distance, finishing on board in 4 of 5 starts. Showed little when extending to 2000m in recent two starts.

Red Valentia

Showed upward curve when 3.3L 5th two starts ago in this class over the distance but well beaten last time.

Two M Khronos

Has been campaigned consistently over 1800m, with 16th, 2nd and 4th at this level. Lacks a sharp turn of foot but is tough when racing prominently. Prefers some cut in the ground, as shown by his runner-up effort two starts ago
