The 149th BMW Hong Kong Derby was held today (Sunday, 22 March) at Sha Tin Racecourse, offering once-in-a-lifetime glory for Hong Kong’s rising stars. As the pinnacle of the HK$52 million Four-Year-Old Classic Series, the BMW Hong Kong Derby is one of the great sporting events and attractions in the city for both racing fans in Hong Kong and from around the world.

Each racegoer receives a designated Derby Cap upon admission to the BMW Hong Kong Derby Raceday at Sha Tin today. Sha Tin racegoers scan the QR code on the Derby Cap or designated QR code on site to join the “2026 BMW Hong Kong Derby – Year of the Horse Golden Lucky Draw”. The lucky draw offers the chance to win the grand prize – a designated “Harmonious Horse” Gold Bar Set worth approx. HK$100,000, amongst a total of 150 prizes.

Racing fans take part in various on-course activities. Six finalists of the Derby Challenge compete in a live buzzer quiz challenge, testing their reaction speed and racing knowledge, for a chance to win designated vouchers worth a total of HK$30,000.
