Front-runner who weakened to finish 5th of 6, beaten 4.61L, in G2 1200m on 14 February. Has won five races, including at G2 level, at the distance and can bounce back.

Militarize

Multiple G1 winner, including 1400m, which has had two trials since last being placed in a Listed 1800m on 8 November. Will be charging home.

The Instructor

Sure to bounce back after leading and then fading in G2 1400m here on 14 February for 4.18L 4th. Has had plenty of recent racing and ready to impress.

Zarastro

Fought on gamely to lose by 1.01L when led first-up in G3 1200m at Rosehill on 31 January for 3rd. This is no easier but is worth following.

Willaidow

Narrowly beat The Instructor and Zarastro in G3 1200m on 31 January. Has since finished second in 795m trial on 16 February. Will race handy and hard to run down.

Media World

Has been good in two trials since last racing in G2 Flemington 1400m on 1 November for 2.56L 6th. Likes to control races out in front but this isn’t easy.

King Of Roseau

Consistent galloper with five wins, five seconds and two thirds from 22 starts. Scored close victory over 17 rivals in a Listed 1400m on 17 January. Is a G3 winner and has twice won at 1300m.

El Castello

First-up for new trainer after two average trials. Last win was in a G1 2000m in 2024. Has won fresh but would need to find rapid improvement.

Axius

Lightly-raced but building a good record with five wins and a second and third from nine starts. Is a last start Gold Coast 1200m winner and can win again.

Enriched

Finished off last campaign with G2 1200m victory at this track. Was disappointing first-up on 31 January when 3.67L last. A big 1050m trial win since then and sure to be competitive.

Cool Jakey

Needs to improve on last start 17th of 18 behind King Of Roseau in rich 1400m Gold Coast race on 17 January. Likes to lead but this is a tough assignment. Has since won a 795m trial.

Portland

Former Irish galloper with good record who is having his first Australian start after last racing in October 2024. Has had six trials, including four this year, but it’s difficult seeing him adding to his two wins.
