Last two runs have produced two G2 wins over 2100m and 2400m Perth Cup. Has a good first-up record. Major player.

Onesmoothoperator

Former European stayer who won a jump-out and a trial for a new trainer leading into this. Was disappointing at last start when 16 of 24 in G1 Melbourne Cup (3200m). Good before that and can feature here.

Casino Seventeen

Capable of running a cheeky race at big odds, but is yet to win at the distance. No luck last start when 2.07L ninth G3 1600m. Others better.

Birdman

Was an unlucky fourth when first-up over 1400m here on 14 February. Beaten 0.86L when held up for clear running. Rise to 1600m is ideal and will hard to beat.

Holymanz

Was a narrow third last start on 7 February over 1600m in G3 at Caulfield when chased home strongly. Has only one win at the distance but should not be dismissed here.

Air Assault

Not disgraced last start when raced wide without cover to finish 1.57L seventh of 14 in G3 1600m on 7 February. Place at good odds is best hope.

Enxuto

Made a solid first-up return when 0.76L third in Listed 1400m here on 14 February when came from last. Has won and been placed at the track and distance. Certainly in the mix.

Mark Twain

Yet to recapture any form after long-layoff because of injury. Has a new trainer and is first-up since October when 6.3L ninth in G3 2400m. Has been good in two jump-outs but needs massive improvement.

Plymouth

Yet to win at 1600m. Worked home strongly to first-up to finish fourth of eight beaten 4L in G3 1400m on 7 February. Has won second-up.
