The Hong Kong Jockey Club purchased two attractive colts out of the recent 2026 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale (8-10 February) held at Riverside Stables in Sydney, Australia for a total outlay of AU$440,000 (approx. HK$2.41 million).

The first secured by the Club was Lot 246 for AU$300,000. The brown colt is by Per Incanto, a reliable source of winners in Hong Kong, topped by nine-time winner Duke Wai and eight-time winner Wood On Fire. His top progeny at present is Raging Blizzard, who was second to Ka Ying Rising in the 2025 HK$28 million G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint (1200m).

Lot 618 fell the Club’s way for AU$140,000. The bay colt is by young stallion Written By, whose leading sons in Hong Kong are Steps Ahead (three wins) and Super Sixty (two wins), while in Australia he has already sired the stakes winners The Novelist, Ripcord and Straight Charge.
