Has won his past two, a 1150m maiden followed by a short neck victory at 1200m on 11 January when held up until near the 200m mark. Leading contender.

Didn’t appreciate the firm track when 7th of 11, beaten 5.8L in G3 1400m on 6 December. Has one victory and needs to improve which he could do on softer track.

Went from a first-up maiden victory over 1230m on 16 November to finishing third, beaten 1.8L, at his next start in the G3 1400m on 6 December. Shows promise.

Needs to improve on past couple, including 4.5L 4th of 8 in G2 1400m on 26 December. Has been luckless in a few of his runs and could find improvement with a smooth run.

Has a win and second from his two race starts. Finished a narrow second in a three-year-old sprint at his most recent outing on 20 December when he led. This is tougher.

To Cap It All

Raced against older opposition last start when 4L 5th of 15 in G1 1200m on 3 January at Trentham. Better suited back to own age group and can figure.

In Haste

Talented filly with two wins and two seconds from her four race starts. Was a narrow second in G3 1200m at her last race on 6 September. Has won first-up twice.

Cream Tart

Had no luck at last start when 5.9L 6th of 12 in 1600m G1 when had trouble finding a clear run in the straight on 8 November. Can improve with luck.

Drops Of God

Faces a big rise in class after winning her first two races, including a 5.5L 1150m maiden victory on 7 December. Raced handy and then dug deep to score narrowly over 1200m on 1 January. Will have support.

Has performed well on all track conditions. Returned okay with half a length third over 1200m on 11 January after disappointment at previous start. Must respect.

Lucy In The Sky

Should benefit from first-up effort when 6th of 7, beaten 2.3L, over 1200m on 11 January when weakened during final stages. Look for rapid improvement.

Belle Cheval

Comes into this fresh after finishing 3rd of 12 in the G1 New Zealand 1000 Guineas (1600m) on 8 November when lost ground at start and held up early in the straight. Major player.

Confesara

By popular sire Toronado, the filly has a win and three seconds from her four race starts. Settled near the tail of the field but ran home strongly to finish a narrow second at 1200m on 11 January. Place chance.

Hasn’t been beaten far at past two, including 2.3L 2nd of 5 on heavy track over 1150m on 3 January in BM65. Probably needs it weaker.

Cosmopolitan

Raced handy at big odds to finish fourth, beaten 2.3L by Drops Of God at last start over 1200m on 1 January. Had just come out of a maiden win. Looks out of reach.
