Jockey Club to host Raceday to honour Hong Kong Medallists at the 15th National Games

The Hong Kong Jockey Club will stage the 15th National Games Hong Kong Medallists Raceday on 18 January 2026 (Sunday) at Sha Tin Racecourse.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club will stage the 15th National Games Hong Kong Medallists Raceday on 18 January 2026 (Sunday) at Sha Tin Racecourse.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club will hold the 15th National Games Hong Kong Medallists Raceday at Sha Tin Racecourse on 18 January (Sunday) in recognition of the outstanding achievements of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) athletes. The team delivered a historic performance, with the city’s best-ever results at a single National Games, winning nine golds, two silvers and eight bronze medals. A cheque presentation ceremony for the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme (JCAIAS) will also be held on the day.

The JCAIAS cheque presentation ceremony will be open to the public, offering a unique opportunity to recognise the record-breaking achievements of HKSAR Team. Triple gold medal winning cyclist Lee Sze-wing, swimmer Siobhan Haughey, who secured two gold and two bronze medals, gold-medallist cyclist Leung Wing-yee, gold-medallist fencers Cheung Ka-long and Choi Chun-yin, bronze-medallist fencer Hsieh Sin-yan and bronze-medallist swimmer Mak Sai-ting will be among the distinguished Hong Kong athletes attending the event. Gates will open at 10:30 am, allowing racegoers to arrive in time for the ceremony.

In addition, a feature race – the 15th National Games Hong Kong Medallists Cup – will be staged on the raceday. Other handicap races on the card will be named after the sports in which HKSAR athletes won medals at the National Games, namely Rugby sevens, triathlon, sailing, fencing, swimming, cycling and tennis.

*Note: Ceremony will be held at the Parade Ring, where some seats are allocated for athletes’ families and friends as well as other invited guests.
