1800m – Dirt

All Maximum

Her second run this fall saw marked improvement, as she took advantage of a race that unfolded in her favor and came from behind to finish a close third, just a length off the winner.

Apaixonar

Since moving up to this class, she had been finishing outside the top five in first four starts, but two starts ago, she ran a strong second at Fukushima, a track where she has a solid past record. The last race, which had been a key target, was expected to suit her better with the right-handed Nakayama course, but she finished a disappointing 13th.

Artless Mind

A consistent performer over this distance. Two starts back, he showed improvement by settling off the pace and went on to win. In his most recent race, he closed well in the stretch and finished third in his first run at this class.

Belle Histoire

She had shown solid form with six consecutive top-five finishes, but this outing marks her return from a seven-month break, and her condition coming off the layoff will be worth monitoring.

Cafe Alloro

Her last start marked a return to dirt after a spell, and while it was tough to make up ground from the rear, she showed a good turn of foot in the stretch. Both of her career wins have come over this course and distance, and with the return to her favored conditions, improvement can be expected.

Cosmo Maroon

Made her debut at NAR-Mombetsu in August 2022 and transferred to JRA in June 2025. Since then she has shown little in four starts.

D’s Gold

He remains unexposed on dirt, having posted back-to-back wins since switching to the surface in September. Last time out, he quickened impressively in the stretch and drew clear to win by three and a half lengths. Even in this class debut, he can’t be overlooked.

Empress Flame

Scored an impressive victory in a 1-win class race at Sapporo in August, winning by four lengths and showed some promise in her first race after moving up in class, finishing fourth, but struggled in her latest outing, finishing ninth, 8.5 lengths behind the winner.

J L Master

He has two wins at Tokyo over 1600 meters on dirt and showed his stamina potential when finishing third last time out over an extended distance to 2100m. While he appears to be suited to longer trips, he still lacks a bit of tractability, and how well he handles the tighter, more technical layout of Nakayama will be key.

June Eos

She had won twice on dirt and had never finished outside the top five across the first five starts on the surface, but in her last start, she failed to show her usual late kick and finished out of frame for the first time.

Mandarin Bolero

He earned his step up in class with a win over this course and went on to post three top-four finishes in his next three races. Returning from a five-month layoff last time, and carrying an extra 12 kilograms, he failed to fire and finished a well-beaten tenth.

O K Mahina

Two starts ago, with an aggressive front-running strategy, she led from start to finish for the win. In her first outing in this class from four-month layoff, she stumbled at the break and was forced to race from the rear and finished last.

Purna Chandra

Although he tends to race from off the pace, he has shown remarkable consistency over this distance, with two wins and never finishing off the board. In his last start, he made an early move around the third and fourth turns and held on well for second. If the race unfolds to suit his style, he’s a genuine contender.
