Her sire Leontes, 2015 G1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes winner, regarded as a versatile stallion who has produced graded stakes winners on both turf and dirt. Notable progeny include T O Royal, the G1 Tenno Sho Spring winner and this year’s G1 Satsuki Sho winner Museum Mile.

Sire Saturnalia has produced first G1 winner who secured 2025 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes. Saturnalia appears to pass on greater speed to his progeny and also shows promise in terms of developmental progression. As such, he is expected to send promising colts/fillies to the future Classics.
    

Beast Wars

Sire Animal Kingdom won 2011 G1 Kentucky Derby (2000M, dirt) and 2013 G1 Dubai World Cup (2000M, dirt).

Buzzer Beater

The second dam, Peace Of World is a four-time winner and the 2002 JRA champion 2-year-old filly.

Congestus

By Contrail, the undefeated Japanese Triple Crown winner.  In his final gallop, he maintained a steady and balanced stride through the finish, which left a positive impression. From a pedigree perspective, the horse appears better suited to a track that requires some stamina rather than speed, and should be competitive as long as the race does not develop into an extremely fast-closing style.

Cosmo Arpeggio

His sire Gold Ship got 13 wins from 28 starts, including six G1 victories, he is remembered as a champion deeply loved by racing fans. This colt has shown improvement with each fast gallop.

Derma Hodaka

Her sire Bricks And Mortar has produced a 2-year-old G2 winner in November.  She is out of a three-time winner mare.

Kimigahama

A half-brother to the Arima Kinen prospective contender Meisho Tabaru, G1 Takarazuka Kinen winner this year.

Meiner Mont Blanc

Bricks And Mortar’s progeny made strong impact this year, with a filly captured back-to-back victories in JPNG1 JBC Ladies Classic (1800M, dirt). He has also produced graded performers on turf. In addition, some of his progeny have inherited a clear stayer’s profile, suggesting that he is likely to sire an increasingly diverse range of runners in the years ahead.

Mikki Falcon

Sired by Epiphaneia, half-sister of a G3 winner. With a lean, well-balanced frame, this horse appears well suited to longer distances. In the final workout, he was outfinished by Tastiera, the 2023 G1 Japanese Derby winner and is set to run in the G1 Arima Kinen, but his time is a respectable figure for a two-year-old making his debut. In terms of both natural ability and training volume, he ranks at the top of this field.

Nucleus

By Fierement out of Duramente mare Lievemente.  Fierement was the back-to-back winner of the G1 Tenno Sho Spring in 2019 and 2020.

Red Regalia

Half-brother of a G2 winner. Delivered a strong piece of work for seven furlongs, demonstrating reliable finishing power.  In the final workout, even when positioned on the inside of a three-horse drill, he maintained his focus throughout. He should have no issues handling traffic in a race.

Satono Classical

By Real Steel, best known as the sire of G1 Breeders’ Cup Classic (2000M, dirt) winner Forever Young. In the final workout, he took hold of the bit on his own and accelerated smoothly. He is very much the type to show his best form on turf.

Satur Chair

Her sire Saturnalia is a 2019 champion 3-year-old colt.  The colt is from the same family as Admire Moon, the G1 Takarazuka Kinen and the G1 Japan Cup winner of 2007. 

Silver Premiere

Sire World Premiere was sidelined for three separate layoffs. Captured G1 Kikuka Sho and G1 Tenno Sho Spring in his 12 career starts.
           

Sophia

By Real Steel. His full-brother Canal Beagle is this year’s G3 Unicorn Stakes (1900M, dirt) winner.  Shows no sense of heaviness and instead displays a light, agile stride. He appears better suited to turf racing.

Taro

Sired by Reach The Crown, the runners-up of 2009 Japanese Derby with 2 graded stakes victories. Has close ties with G3 winner Ho O Emmy.

Trece De Oro

Sire Rey De Oro produced several graded winners this season, including G1 Arima Kinen contender Admire Terra.
