The LONGINES International Jockeys’ Championship (IJC) returns to Happy Valley Racecourse on Wednesday, 10 December. As one of the world’s most prestigious jockey challenge events, this year’s LONGINES IJC brings together top riders for an exhilarating showdown of skill. Racegoers can look forward to witnessing the four-leg contest between the star-studded 12-rider line-up.

The race meeting’s activities commence at 4.45pm, with an opening ceremony to be held after Race 3. The night will feature performances by international pop music group Now United. Meanwhile, DJ Willy Monfret will take the stage starting from 5.00 pm at the Beer Garden.

The world’s greatest meet at LONGINES IJC
Happy Valley will be transformed into a global arena where 12 of the world’s top jockeys including James McDonald – recently crowned LONGINES World’s Best Jockey for a third time – battle across four races. The LONGINES IJC is among the world’s most lucrative jockey competitions, offering HK$7.5 million in prize money across the four races, and an additional HK$1 million in bonus awards for the three most successful riders.

International pop music group Now United is the night’s headline act
Fresh from their global “NOW OR NEVER” tour, Now United will make their final stop at Happy Valley. The pop group comprises young singers and dancers from around the world, including Ariel Tsang, the representative for Hong Kong, China, who was selected through the “HKJC’s Rising Stars Project”, a collaboration between The Hong Kong Jockey Club and the international brand XIX Entertainment, and Krystian Wang from Beijing, China. They will perform a song-and-dance spectacular, blending racing passion with pop rhythms for an unforgettable entertainment feast.
