Golden Cloud

His sire Cloud Computing is a G1 Preakness Stakes winner. Returning from a layoff last time out, he was patient and unleashed a powerful late run to score an emphatic five-length victory. Showed his potential when third in the Fukuryu Stakes over 1800m on 29 March behind Luxor Cafe, who later ran in the Kentucky Derby.

Jo Tarumae

Sired by Hokko Tarumae, a dominant force in Japan’s dirt graded stakes. With four runner-up finishes at this level, he boasts the strongest credentials among this field. His strength lies in his sustained late speed. Notably, his best performances have come when setting the pace. 

Kurino Glory

Won the lower-class convincingly by 3.5L in April 2024, but showed little in this class. Finished last without any impact last time.

Maruka Blitz

Won the lower-class on turf over 2600m and then had run on turf over 2200m and longer in this class. Shifted to dirt and dropped down the distance to 1800m two starts back. Finished 3rd and 5th in two recent starts respectively. His first win was over this course and distance.

Meisho Gemma

While finishing 3L fourth in this class over 1700m on dirt in April, he has shown little in recent two starts.

Meisho Kashiwade

Showed consistent performances over this distance and both his wins were at Kyoto. Ground versatile.

O K Carmen

Has not tasted any success since stepped up in this class in August 2024.

Pod Volk

Raced in second position throughout a demanding high-tempo race that offered no breather and faded last time. His best performances have come at Kyoto, suggesting the suitability to the course.

Shinzen Izumo

Has stepped up in this class since February 2024. Had two-digit finishes in recent five starts.

Sin Limites

His last win was at NAR-Sonoda (1870m) around two years ago. Returned from a break of around three months in this class (1800m) on 1 November finished below par last time.

Sky Dweller

Showed little in recent two starts in this fall, but clocked the fastest time for the last 600m in the field last time.

Tamamo Calicot

His sire Sinister Minister is known for producing high-class dirt runners. Finished well fifth last time when he faced a strong field. Racing at Kyoto, close to the Ritto Training Center, is a positive factor. If he can settle behind a front-runner, he is competitive at this level.

Wonder Bullet

Has not tasted any success over three years, and is unraced since 7L 6th last time over 1800m on 26 October 2024.

Yuto The Yuto

Mostly ran over 1400m since debut, but he was dominant in his most recent start when stepped up in distance, winning by an impressive distance.
