Failed to quicken in G2 1900m at Rosehill on 11 October when finishing 4.53L 9 of 14. Has one unplaced run at the track last year when badly hampered. Needs to show improvement.

Raced wide and without luck when overhauled by Sir Delius to finish 2nd in G1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at latest when raced handy. Is peaking and has big claims.

Big odds at past 2 but has been placed both times, including last start 2 of 14 in G2, beaten 2.17L, at Rosehill. Has 3 minor placings from 5 races at the track. Honest but this is tough again.

Former European galloper who is a G1 and G2 winner who finished 2nd in last year’s Caulfield Cup (2400m). Has 3 minor placings this campaign and peak fitness gives him a place chance.

Via Sistina

The 10-time G1 winner won this race last year by 8L in track record time, defeating champion Japanese horse Prognosis. Won G1 1400m first-up but past 2 where she has finished 3rd both haven’t gone to plan. She is the one to beat.

Treasurethe Moment

Boom horse who has managed 2 seconds at past 2 when the shortest of odds. Jockey said she was disappointing last start when beaten 3L in 4-horse G1 2000m at Caulfield. Has 10 wins and 4 seconds from 14 starts but pressure is on to bounce back.

Aeliana

Finished 2nd to Mr Brightside and in front of 3rd placed stablemate Via Sistina in G1 1600m on 13 September. Did her best work late when finished 2.73L 5 of 14 in G1 2000m at Flemington at latest. Strips fitter for this and is a definite danger.

Nepotism

The three-year is the youngest horse in the field and will carry the lightest weight, just 109lb. Has a G1 and G3 victory from his 6 races. No luck last 2, including 4.36L 7 of 15 in 1600m G1. Some rough place chance at weight.
