Put the opposition away when on-pace over 1500m at Moonee Valley and then raced handy but faded in G1 1800m at Caulfield on 20 September. Will appreciate drop back to 1600m.

Pinstriped

Hasn’t won since G1 victory here over 1400m in August last year. Has been big odds at past three. No luck here last start when 2.3L 5th of 15. Could sneak a place.

Evaporate

Impressive last start winner when little went right in G3 1500m at Sandown. Has raced 4 times at distance for 3 wins and a third. Just needs luck to figure here.

Feroce

Likes the track and distance. Resumed with a 3.9L 6th over 1100m at Caulfield on 30 August. Then ran home strongly here 1400m in G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes for 1.1L 3rd. Distance rise is ideal.

Building an impressive record with 5 wins from 7 starts, including most recently the G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) victory here when raced handy after taking the lead at 400m mark. Will take catching again.

Transatlantic

Consistent galloper who is never far away. Had two narrow seconds since resuming when racing on the pace. Has raced twice at 1600m for a third. Handles all track conditions and rates highly.

Lazzura

Comes into strong contention after resuming with a G3 victory over 1200m and then a G2 1400m win. Has a strong finishing burst and will appreciate the increase to 1600m. A serious contender.

Leica Lucy

Won 6 races in New Zealand, including G1 New Zealand Oaks (2400m) before joining Chris Waller stable earlier this year. Has raced twice in Australia for 2 narrow fourths, including in the G1 Australian Oaks (2400m). Resumed in G2 1400m on 13 September. In the mix.

Damask Rose

Is a Listed winner in New Zealand over 1600m. Has been okay in his two Australian runs, including last start 2.65L 7 of 15 in G1 1400m at Caulfield when she ran home well. Needs to do more but is capable enough.

Athanatos

Extremely honest galloper who has only missed a place twice in 17 starts. Won a G3 over 2000m in April. Was slow away last start but improved mid-race to finish 3rd in G3 1500m at Sandown. Capable of a place.
