G1 – 1400m – Turf
1 |
Rayif |
Had to fight to win his first start but, in stronger company, he finished purposefully to win a 1400m Deauville G3 in August. This then became the obvious target. |
2 |
Vardif |
Good efforts on all three starts but he just lacked a finishing kick in the closing battle when third in a G3 over this C&D last month. |
3 |
Campacite |
Winner of three of his four starts with a gradually progressive profile. In August he put 3L between himself and the nearest of his four rivals in a 1600m Deauville Listed event. |
4 |
Time To Turn |
Jockey William Buick suggested 1400m as his ideal trip after a career best effort with a narrow Listed victory over a subsequent G3 winner at Ascot in July. |
5 |
Puerto Rico |
Continues to progress and the move up to this trip looked right when he led throughout to win a Doncaster G2 last month. Not ground dependent and with chances here. |
6 |
A Bit Of Spirit |
Not very big but possessing an enviable will-to-win attitude. That he showed again when getting the better of a tight finish in a G3 (that form has worked out well) at Sandown. |
7 |
Cielo Di Roma |
Improved from his first to his second start when winning over 1400m at Deauville in August. Clearly useful but now encountering much stronger opposition. |
8 |
Nighttime |
Has won his last three starts – all at this trip – and, though rearing up in the stalls, showed too much pace for his rivals in a soft ground G3 over this C&D last month. |
9 |
Imperial Me Cen |
Has plenty of speed – twice winning over 1000m earlier in 2025. But well beaten in a 1200m Deauville G1 in August and hard to fancy to his new stable here. |
