Looks to sit on a challenging handicap rating after three fairly comprehensive defeats in G2 and handicap company. But this big well bred will be respected from this stable.

A drop in trip for this versatile veteran – a 2021 slow-ground G1 winner -who enjoys the Flat as well as obstacles. Rarely beaten far and, at the top of his game, has chances.

Crypto Force

Has raced at a variety of grades and trips but his three career victories have come over shorter than this. Struggled in a 2000m G3 last time.

Aeronautic

A positive is that he has won over this course and distance and also having put up smart performances in Royal Ascot and Goodwood handicaps on his last two starts. Definite for the shortlist.

Sea The Boss

A fast-finishing G3 winner at Naas last year but has struggled to make a big impact in stakes races since. Ran OK but faded late in a G3 here last time. Up in trip and trying handicaps now.

Bunting

Will get respect from this stable. Not much enthusiasm can be gained from recent starts though unexposed in the Flat racing sphere.

Comfort Zone

At his best when third in a marathon Royal Ascot handicap in June. Would have a better chance over a longer trip but he is decently enough handicapped.

Hasn’t come close to winning in any of his three starts this season but his brilliant stable has often successfully targeted this race and his handicap mark is easing.

Zanndabad

A rare winner these day but his close fourth – after a difficult passage – in a hot York handicap last month was encouraging.

A good record from 3yo’s in this handicap and this colt has been continually improving including with course and distance victories. Interesting on this handicap debut.

Too Bossy For Us

Underperformed at Galway in July but chances here on his energetic second of 25 in a handicap at the Curragh previously. From the Mullins stable so interesting.

Effective over similar trip but hasn’t made enough impact in handicaps on recent starts to suggest much encouragement for this.

Lord Church

Not beaten far in handicaps – though twice failing to justify favouritism – in four starts this year. Interesting to see whether he attracts strong betting support yet again.

Had too much class for his rivals in a maiden over this trip in July but others look to have stronger claims in this hot handicap.

God Of Thunder

Has raced over a variety of trips and was the easy winner of a handicap over just a bit shorter than this at Limerick in June but a stiffer handicap mark now.

Came close to winning a 2000m handicap here in March and looked to remain on an upward curve by winning a 2400m maiden at the Curragh in July.

Didn’t manage a win though came close when trained in the UK. But this well-bred colt comfortably won a 2442m maiden on his Irish debut. Up in trip.

Well beaten in recent starts so hard to fancy here.
