1200m – Turf
1 | Profit Refused | Nowhere near her best on latest start but some very good runs before then and had only just failed in a tense finish on fast ground over this C&D previously. |
2 | Photosynthesis | Trained in Newmarket and now having his first start here but has twice run well to be placed in Newbury handicaps this season. |
3 | Dorney Lake | Gained consecutive victories earlier in 2025, latterly when coming from the back to win on fast-ground at Doncaster. Handicap mark easing back again after defeats since. |
4 | Cinque Verde | Has won far more often on all-weather surfaces but went close to winning sprints at Goodwood and Chester earlier this season. Races prominently. |
5 | Thunder Blue | Not especially consistent and hasn’t won for over a year but best run for some time when only just failing at Windsor on 18 August. |
6 | Expert Agent | Below his best on his last two starts but had won his two previous races, one being over this C&D when always prominent. Possibilities despite quite a tough handicap mark. |
7 | Rajaking | Probably his best career effort came over this C&D this month when a close second and looking as though the fast ground was much in his favour. He could easily figure here. |
8 | Dapper Guest | Rallied bravely to win a 1400m handicap here in June. But not so good off a 7lb higher mark since, plus this drop back to 1200m is not an obvious advantage. |
9 | Equiano Springs | A 13-times winning veteran who has won off notably higher handicap marks during his 71-race career. Has a good record at Newmarket and was a close third here this month. |
