| 5 | Queen’s Guard | Faced some tough tasks last year. Running well for new stable, including at York. Good chance. |
| 6 | Fluorescence | Won 3-5. Solid, progressive record. Beat older horses in decent race last time. Major chance. |
| 7 | Nad Alshiba Green | Steadily improved and just beaten in similar race in July. Heavy ground an excuse last time. |
| 8 | Sarahmae | Progressive. Returned from break to win fair race on 9 August. Respected. |
| 9 | Jumbeau | Third in this race last year. Dropped in Class when won this month. Needs to be at her best. |
| 10 | Woolhampton | Been running respectably at this level this year without looking about to win. Outside chance. |
| 11 | Eclairage | Best form so far on all-weather track but good second on turf in July. In the mix. |
| 12 | Luna A Inbhir Nis | Huge improvement this year. Won over 1081m at York in July. This is harder but respected. |
| 13 | Mademoiselle | Good record at lower level. Well beaten when raised in Class. This harder again. New stable. |
| 14 | Novamay | Easily won two low grade races then won off much higher handicap mark. This harder. |
| 15 | Lady Roxby | In excellent form and improving for new stable. Just beaten over 1081m at York in July. Good chance. |
| 16 | Galaxy Zoo | Improved to win latest two races. Likely to improve further and has a good chance. |
| 17 | Tiva | Easily won lower level race this month. This is much harder. |
| 18 | Forager | Improved to win fair Handicap over course and distance in June. Similar performance since. In the mix. |
| 19 | Fantasy Obsessor | Won 2-3 at up to 1400m. Disappointing when favourite over 1000m last time. Needs better. |
| 20 | Eternal Sunshine | Consistent and only just beaten at latest start. This is harder. Needs to improve. |
| 21 | Woohoo | Three successive wins in low level race. Not disgraced raised in Class. This much tougher. |
