1400m – Polytrack

1

Blu Metal Jacket

The Italian import has been carving a decent living in claimers/handicaps but was exposed when raised to Class Two last time.

2

Sevenday

Boasts three wins in the South-West but last two efforts at this level haven’t been convincing.

3

Zeloro

In better form last season (two wins), having run poorly in both his starts this term.

4

Leoparduccio

Proved a big hit on the all-weather (three wins) in 2024. Not disgraced on his two starts this season but is unraced since March.

5

Wild City

Is coming off two unplaced efforts on turf but he now returns to a surface on which he thrived earlier in the season.

6

Vermelho

Began the season promisingly (fifth in Class One race) but it has been downhill ever since and little encouragement to be had from her latest effort.

7

Yoken

Capable on his day and he delivered as an outsider at Saint-Cloud in March, but has been on a downward spiral ever since.

8

Wapi

Just one career win to his name and a little one-paced, but successive fourths at Compiegne were a step in the right direction.

9

Speedster

Very disappointing at ParisLongchamp in June (top jockey booked) when he trailed throughout. Needs to fast recapture last season’s sparkle.

10

Fou Furieux

On the go since January (won at Cagnes-sur-Mer) but nine consecutive unplaced efforts are hardly an advertisement for his chances.

11

Tashanka

Has been mainly consistent this season. He didn’t quite get home on latest start over 1700m, but interesting that he’s now dropped back in trip.

12

Aversa

Not at her best on last two starts. Best judged on her form earlier in the season (six top six finishes) and so not without a chance.

13

Pertusato

Quietly fancied on his latest start only to run too freely. Had been building nicely before that and so a potential player if settling better.

14

Dulini

This course and distance winner puts herself firmly in the picture with front running win on the Chantilly all-weather, and has clearly hit form at the right time.

15

Torpen

Not the force of old (has tumbled in the ratings) and the evidence that he’s about to snap a long losing streak is thin on the ground.

16

Rancon Royale

Very much a Deauville all-weather specialist (five wins). Has taken a step forward this season but is unraced since April.
