G1 – 1200m – Turf
| Mia Moo | Unbeaten in three starts since her return from Cape Town and a narrow winner of the G1 SA Fillies Sprint. Shows good pace from the best of the draw and is a big runner. |
| Mrs Browning | Was staying on gamely behind stable companion Mia Moo in the G1 SA Fillies Sprint. Has improved at her last two but may need more. |
| Whistle The Tune | Held on gamely last run when well in at the weights. Drawn well but meets a lot stronger in this line-up. Good draw is a factor. |
| I Am Giant | Market support at long odds when surprising in the G3 Post Merchants. That was his second run for the stable and he could possibly improve on his recent success. |
| Minogue | Has two good efforts over this distance. Failed over a mile last start in a G1 but would be a surprise winner. |
| Questioning | Seldom far back but well beaten by I Am Giant last time out but now 9lb better off. This is his third run after a break and the trainer’s only runner on the day. Can feature prominently. |
| Just Be Lekker | Seldom far back and had excuses when trying a G1 mile last time out. Consistent sprint form and has a money chance at best. |
| William Robertson | Way better than his last effort from a wide gate. A tough customer who seldom gives less than his best but his last two runs are a concern. Has won 15 races from 44 starts. |
| Buffalo Storm Cody | Was staying on well behind I Am Giant last run, coming off a three-race winning streak but is 4lb worse off. Does appear to have stamina doubts over this trip in top company. |
| Cats Pajamas | Way below form last run when tried in blinkers but was also reported to be not striding out post-race. Useful on his day but needs to improve on current form. |
| Asiye Phambili | Unlucky when touched off by Mia Moo in the G1 SA Fillies Sprint when arriving just too late. Her last run over a mile is best ignored. Draw is a concern but Hong Kong-based Keagan de Melo should be able to get her over. |
| Cafe Culture | Won the G2 Post Merchants over course and distance last year. Winless since and current form does not inspire any confidence. |
| Tenango | Comfortable winner of the G2 Golden Horse Sprint coming from a long way off the pace to win as he liked. Wide draw should not be a factor and with some luck in the running will go close. |
| Surjay | Last year’s winner but recent form in not inspiring. Shows pace but will have it tough from this draw. |

| Chocolate Soldier | Speedy but reported to be coughing after his last two starts. Better over 1000m. |
| Frozen Fantasy | Would be hard-pressed to win should she get a run. Looks well held by Mia Moo on their last meeting. |
