Two race meetings remain in the 2024/25 Hong Kong racing season and fans are invited to join the festivities at Sha Tin Finale Race Day this Sunday (13 July).

Starting at 4pm as part of the Summer Series of twilight fixtures, with gates set to open at 2pm, the day at Sha Tin features exciting racing action, live music, exquisite culinary offerings and mega prizes in a lucky draw, where ten winners will share in HK$1 million *.

Be sure to enter the “Sha Tin Racecourse Delights: Season Finale Grand Lucky Draw”, where ten lucky winners will share HK$1 million in pure gold prizes – taking home a designated pure gold horseshoe ornament – each worth HK$100,000.

The draw is only applicable to participants who scan the lucky draw’s QR Code and complete the specified registration by 7pm on Sunday, 13 July at Sha Tin Racecourse. The lucky winners will be announced on the day, with prizes presented by the 2024/25 Most Popular Jockey in the Parade Ring after the final race.

A variety of flavours is available at designated food kiosks for racegoers . Classic Hong Kong street food is on offer at Trackside Kiosk 5 and authentic Japanese delights feature at Trackside Kiosk 6 as just some of the specials throughout the day at Sha Tin.

Jockeys’ Parade at Sha Tin

On the day, Sha Tin racegoers can interact with jockeys in a post-race parade. Jockeys will toss exclusive mini horse plushies in the Sha Tin Parade Ring, featuring the iconic silks of Ka Ying Rising, Romantic Warrior, Voyage Bubble and Cap Ferrat as well as The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Love Racing brand #.

The presentation ceremony for the 2024/25 Hong Kong Champion Trainer will also be held this Sunday following the races should any trainer gain an unassailable lead ahead of Wednesday night’s (16 July) 88th and final fixture of the racing season.

Free admission and racecourse tours for tourists

Tourists may enjoy free admission to the Public Enclosures of Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses (excluding fee-charging venues) by presenting a valid travel document or passport for entry into Hong Kong. Tourists who visit the Tourist Zone at Sha Tin this Sunday and open a betting account may enjoy a free guided tour of the racecourse and facilities at Sha Tin.  

Free round-trip shuttle bus services

For racegoers’ convenience, complimentary shuttle bus services will be available to and from Sha Tin Racecourse on Sunday. Tickets for the bus service to Sha Tin Racecourse are now available for collection at designated Off-Course Betting Branches. Tickets are offered on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.

For the return trip, free shuttle bus services are available to designated locations in Sha Tin, Kowloon and the New Territories, with the service time starting from 8.30pm until the last race finishes. For details, please refer to the event theme site.

Admission to Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses commences at 2pm with the first of 11 races at Sha Tin scheduled for 4pm. The current racing season concludes with Happy Valley’s Season Finale on Wednesday night, 16 July. Stay tuned for further details.
