1600m – Turf
1 | Kiaro | Has become inconsistent this season. Won at Toulouse two starts back but struggled when raised to this grade last time. |
2 | Divine Chrisnat | Below her best on last two starts at ParisLongchamp. A change of scenery may help but she will need to defy a career high mark. |
3 | Tortisambert | Has proved very consistent at this level. Experienced traffic problems (seventh) on his last start and could well bounce back. |
4 | Westminster Night | Is knocking on the door following successive seconds at Vichy and La Teste, and should again go well off current mark. |
5 | We Ride The World | Although past his prime, this admirable veteran continues to prove very willing. Not disgraced (third) over 1400m at Compiegne last time. |
6 | Celestial | Unable to justify favouritism (11th) on reappearance after a 14-months plus absence. Unbeaten prior to that and one to monitor in the betting. |
7 | Alva | Form in the ascendancy and rallied well from off the pace (second) at ParisLongchamp last time. |
8 | Olympic Message | Struggled to go the pace on reappearance at Compiegne before rallying into sixth. Probably needs to take another step forward. |
9 | Contentious Soul | Beaten favourite but produced another cracking effort (second) behind a very useful type at ParisLongchamp. Leading chance. |
10 | Lord Sinclair | No obvious excuses at ParisLongchamp last time (fifth) after a rail-hugging trip, although that was a step in the right direction. |
11 | Marharry | Possibilities on his best form but unraced since unplaced effort on the Chantilly all-weather in February. |
12 | Modern Light | Has yet to mirror the consistency of last season but she has been given some respite by the handicapper. |
13 | Simply Striking | Has been absent from the winner’s circle since 2023, and record at this level is mainly modest. |
14 | Pertusato | Has run two huge races in defeat (second both times) on the provincial/Parisian circuits, and again likely to have a say off current mark. |
15 | Forcefull | Opened her account on the Pornichet all-weather in the winter. Was a fair third in fillies/mares handicap but didn’t build on that last time. |
16 | Ever Kate | Seems better on good ground rather than slower, and it was good when she bravely won a 1600m Chantilly handicap. |
