Returned from a 303-day break in great shape to win a 2673m event in Listowel earlier this month. Should be fine at this longer trip.

Ran his best race for some time on latest start when nearly landing a surprise 25-1 victory in a 2800m handicap here this month.

Like others here has been racing over hurdles. But hasn’t looked at his best and hard to fancy.

Too Bossy For Us

Hasn’t figured seriously in G1 hurdles last two starts but had respectable form in staying handicaps on the Flat last year.

Won on the Flat in Germany – over shorter – earlier in his career. Not beaten far on his latest hurdling start but looks to need slow ground.

Proven at this trip and too strong for 14 rivals in the closing stages of a Killarney handicap last month.

Has had some long absences between races. Didn’t make a huge impact at Leopardstown last month.

Came close to landing a surprise win over hurdles two starts back. Prefers good or faster ground.

Up in distance as many of these here and not certain he will appreciate 3200m but did run a decent fourth of 20 here last time.

A career best on her latest start when second of 21 in a 2800m Navan handicap.

A strong stayer who had some classy hurdling form and has also boasts some decent Flat efforts. Not seen for 623 days but from a shrewd stable.

La Vita Nova

Returned from a 303-day absence to run a very encouraging second in a 2800m handicap here in May. Possibilities.

Lot Of Joy

From a brilliant stable. Led for most of the trip when third in a 2400m handicap at this meeting last year. Faring quite well over hurdles recently.

Mon Coeur

Didn’t have a perfect passage when sixth at Killarney in May but improvement needed.

Common Practice

Smart form over obstacles and also goes well at the Curragh. Gave the impression that this longer trip would help when third of 20 over 2800m here last time.

Brazil

This course winner is campaigned primarily over jumps nowadays, and latest appearance on the flat resulted in a disappointing effort at Galway (17th) in August last year – a race in which he had won in 2023.

La Dame Blanche

The mare showed fair form for previous trainer to win at Cork and Ballinrobe last season. Well handicapped on some of her best form but fitness could be an issue, having last raced in September.

Reverend Hubert

A useful performer in both codes, he finished a fair eighth (of 24) in a prestigious British staying handicap at Newmarket in October. Sharpened up for this with a run over hurdles and a run on flat. Interesting outsider.

Lord Erskine

Warmed up for this with a win over hurdles at Fairyhouse in April. His last win on the flat dates back to September 2023, off a similar handicap mark.

Molly Hall

Has been building a nice profile at a lower level (five wins) but rather exposed when raised in grade (14th at the Curragh) last time. So it’s possible that the handicapper may have caught up with her.

Pinot Gris

This useful hurdler boasts a couple of wins on the flat. Some of his form makes for interesting reading and so not ruled out for a place.

Golden Temple

Is back to defend his title. Clearly retains plenty of ability judged on all-weather second in January, but now racing off a 5lb higher mark in this race compared to last year.

Happy Jacky

This tough campaigner is more noted for his exploits over jumps and has been campaigned sparingly (six runs) on the flat. Clearly retains plenty of enthusiasm and so a potential surprise package.

Last Ammo

Is currently riding an eight-race losing sequence since staging a 40-1 upset at Galway in August 2023. Has been given some respite by the handicapper and due to be lowered again in the future.

Open Secret 

As yet unraced this season. Not impossible on some of his previous British form but the fact that he’s as yet unraced this term could be a negative.

Arch Enemy

Has developed a habit this season of starting slowly which has resulted in her poor form. Much better last season (three wins) and so needs to rediscover her mojo.

Dark Oak

A spell over hurdles has failed to revive her fortunes and difficult to recommend on current form.
