The Appeal lodged by Jockey M L Yeung against the decision made by the Racing Stewards at the Happy Valley race meeting held on 4 June 2025 to find him guilty of a charge of careless riding when riding JOYFUL CHAMPION in Race 1, and imposing a penalty of a suspension from riding in races from 25 June 2025 to 28 June 2025 (2 Hong Kong racedays), was heard by the Appeal Panel at 9:30 a.m. today.

The Appeal Panel carefully considered all the evidence taken in this case together with the further evidence taken at the hearing today.

The Appeal Panel dismissed the appeal and Jockey Yeung is suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Sunday 13 July 2025 and to expire on Thursday 17 July 2025 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays).
