G1 – 3991m – Turf
| Coltrane | Veteran stayer who still retains enthusiasm. A close second in this in 2023 but only fifth last year. A win is unlikely. |
| Dubai Future | As good as ever when landing a valuable Meydan G2 over 3200m in April. But more stamina required, and that may be a problem. |
| Sweet William | A classy, consistent and enthusiastic stayer who was third in this last year without quite troubling the first two. Good or slow ground helpful. |
| Trawlerman | Only beaten a length in this last year and posted another terrific staying performance with a front-running G3 Sandown win. Live chances. |
| Wonder Legend | Not typical of a Gold Cup winner as he competes most on all-weather tracks but an improver who easily won his last two starts. |
| Yashin | Better than ever when making a winning start for this stable – and after more wind surgery – in a G3 here in April. But this longer trip could be an issue. |
| Candelari | Continues to give improved performances and his stylish 3100m G1 victory at ParisLongchamp puts him right in this if able to thrive at this marathon trip. |
| Illinois | A super consistent stayer, advertising his wellbeing when landing a G3 at Chester. Strong at the end of races providing hope that he can also excel at this marathon trip. |
