Listed – 2005m – Turf
1 |
    Galen |
A front-running G3 winner at the Curragh in April. Chances here on that evidence and may try to boss early again. |

2 |
    Liberty Lane |
Winner of a prestigious UK handicap off top weight last September, and a Listed winner latest. Chances. |

3 |
    Military Order |
Struggled at Sandown last time. This trip is right but he may be best on an all-weather surface now. |

4 |
    Phantom Flight |
Last two wins came after powerful finishes at Bahrain in January. Very capable at this level if at his best. |

5 |
    Ambiente Friendly |
Would have a huge chance if close to the level when second in last year’s Epsom Derby. Way below that level recently. |

6 |
    Checkandchallenge |
His last win came in Listed company over 2000m at Newmarket in November 2023. But mostly running well this year. |

7 |
    Ecureuil Secret |
This huge horse came back from a break and being gelded to post a clear personal best, surging clear in an Epsom handicap. Chance. |

8 |
    Enfjaar |
Good efforts last year, two handicap wins and a close Listed second. Wants a strong gallop, and likely to get that here. |

9 |
    Haatem |
Close to winning the Irish 2000 Guineas last year, then landing a 1400m G3 at Royal Ascot. Lots of class but stamina needs proving at this trip. |

10 |
    Haunted Dream |
Only four wins from 29 starts on turf but a good second in this in 2024. Last seen when fourth in a valuable event in Saudi Arabia. |

11 |
    King’s Gambit |
Near misses in G3 and G2 company last season. Hasn’t quite matched that since and clearly not at his best at Newbury in May. |

12 |
    Meydaan |
Coming back to this trip and a gelding operation looks to have helped judging by his close Listed second at Goodwood in May. |

13 |
    Passion And Glory |
Competing over a variety of trips, doing best this year when second over further than this at Meydan. Slow ground wanted. |

14 |
    Sons And Lovers |
Very effective at this trip, ran a solid fourth to some G1 class rivals in a G2 at the Curragh last month. |

15 |
    Torito |
Good efforts at Royal Ascot for the last two years, including a third in this last year. He did have prep runs both times, but not this year. |

16 |
    Doha |
Outgunned 23 rivals in a handicap over the straight 1600m at Royal Ascot 2024. Effective over this trip also. Worth considering. |
