Undefeated in two starts over the mile, though those wins came in a newcomer and a 1-win class race, so the level of competition remains questionable. However, he captured the G2 Nakayama Kinen (1800m) in course record time, showing his strength in fast-run races. He also won the G2 Mainichi Okan (1800m) over a left-handed track, proving his versatility. He should be competitive even against this field.

Daddy’s Vivid

A five-time winner but yet to win any group race in 31 starts. Grabbed the win in a fierce battle in a listed race (1600m) at Hanshin in March last time.

Mad Cool

Returns to the mile for the first time since his debut in January 2022, where he finished third. Now six, he has started to show signs of needing more time to get into gear. The step up in distance should work in his favor. The race conditions also suit his natural early speed, which could give him a tactical advantage.

Win Marvel

A four-time group race winner. Had a close 2nd to Ascoli Piceno in the G2 1351 Turf Sprint (1351m) at King Abdulaziz in February last time. After the overseas trip, there was a bit of looseness in his condition but should improve significantly once pushed him in training.

Red Mon Reve

3.8L 4th in the G2 Keio Hai Spring Cup (1400m) at Tokyo in May last time. After galloping, his rider Michael Dee said, he felt good to ride, and from his last run, they learned that he would show a different side in training compared to actual races.

Gratias

Has not won since January 2021. Finished 3L 5th in the G2 Yomiuri Milers Cup (1600m) at Kyoto in April.

Gaia Force

Switched to dirt for the first time in his career but finished brave 2nd in the G1 February Stakes (1600m) in 2024 before 1.5L fourth in this race last year. Following two disappointing finishes over dirt, his latest run was ninth in the G1 FWD Champions Mile (1600m) at Sha Tin in April.

Ecoro Walz

Finished 1.25L second in the G1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes (1600m) in 2023. Failed to finish in the frame in all three Japanese classics, but showed his class when beaten only a nose in the G2 Nakayama Kinen (1800m) and 2L fourth in the G1 Osaka Hai (2000m) respectively this term.

Champagne Color

The winner of the G1 NHK Mile Cup (1600m) in 2023 showed upward curve in recent two starts over mile this term with 3.3L 7th and 1.5L 6th.

Jantar Mantar

The JRA’s Best Two-Year-Old Colt for 2023 returns to action for the first time since finishing 13th in the G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Mile in December 2024. He was bumped during the race and never had a chance to show his true ability. He has won two G1 races over 1600m, including the 2024 G1 NHK Mile Cup, in which he defeated the 2025 G1 Victoria Mile winner Ascoli Piceno. Considering the level of competition he has faced so far, he stands out as one of the top contenders in this field.

Sakura Toujours

Showed huge improvement when taking the G3 Tokyo Shimbun Hai over this course and distance in 2024. Started off this term with the G3 Kyoto Kimpai (1600m) win in January, he showed little last time.

Long Run

Won two runs in a row this term over 1800m and 1600m respectively. His hindquarters are heavily muscled, indicating that he’s been well conditioned.

Soul Rush

Took his first G1 title at the age of six. Now seven, he showed further progress in his latest start by defeating Hong Kong star Romantic Warrior in the G1 Dubai Turf (1800m). Far from showing signs of decline, he continues to improve with age, and given his current form, another G1 victory is well within reach.

Water Licht

Three-time winner over this course and distance including the G3 Tokyo Shimbun Hai when he showed a remarkable turn of foot.

Ho O Reality

Has not tasted any success since October 2023. Finished good 5th in his first run over this distance in March before before 3L 6th in the G2 Yomiuri Milers Cup (1600m) last time.

Trovatore

Has an impressive record over mile with four wins and one second from five starts. His only defeat over mile came in the Capital Stakes, where he was beaten by the decent performer Water Licht. He slipped through a narrow gap along the inside rail in the stretch to score a smart win in the G3 Lord Derby Challenge Trophy (1600m) last time.

Jun Blossom

Has shown consistency between 1600m and 2200m. Had two-digit finishes in two starts after winning the G2 Fuji Stakes (1600m) in October 2024. He finished 0.5L 2nd in the G2 Yomiuri Milers Cup (1600m) last time. The left-handed course is his favor.

Brede Weg

She now has a more collected core, giving her a better overall balance. She is supple, with good muscle tone throughout. Her coat looks fine and healthy, adding to the positive impression.
