G1 – 1600m – Turf

Sixpence |
Undefeated in two starts over the mile, though those wins came in a newcomer and a 1-win class race, so the level of competition remains questionable. However, he captured the G2 Nakayama Kinen (1800m) in course record time, showing his strength in fast-run races. He also won the G2 Mainichi Okan (1800m) over a left-handed track, proving his versatility. He should be competitive even against this field. |

Returns to the mile for the first time since his debut in January 2022, where he finished third. Now six, he has started to show signs of needing more time to get into gear. The step up in distance should work in his favor. The race conditions also suit his natural early speed, which could give him a tactical advantage. |

He has won two G1 races over 1600m, including the 2024 G1 NHK Mile Cup, in which he defeated the 2025 G1 Victoria Mile winner Ascoli Piceno. Considering the level of competition he has faced so far, he stands out as one of the top contenders in this field. |
