2015m – Turf
1 |
Love Talk |
The decisive winner of a valuable event over 1400m at Goodwood in 2024, looking to thrive on the slow ground. Drops in trip after appearing not to stay further than this last time. |
2 |
The Trickster |
Placed in two quite strong-looking handicaps – at Newmarket and Ascot – this season. When he learns to relax early in his races, he will do better. |
3 |
Hornsea Bay |
Has so far not progressed from two strong runs last year, starting favourite for a 1600m Newmarket handicap last month, but fading out. Up in trip and gelded since then. |
4 |
Law Of Design |
Won a 1400m novices’ event on soft ground at Ascot last year. But impossible to recommend on this year’s activity, beaten a long way in last place each time. |
5 |
War Hawk |
Has generally performed well on all five starts since being gelded, doing best on his latest start when zooming around Chester’s tight track better than the rest a week before this challenge. |
6 |
Meblesh |
Best of his three runs so far came when he narrowly won a 2000m maiden at Newbury last month. An interesting candidate now in handicap company. |
7 |
Chartwell Jock |
Placed on both starts this turf season, though his finishing kick was a little disappointing when third as favourite in an Ascot handicap last month. |
8 |
Patrol |
Yet to win on a turf surface and only previous run at Epsom was nothing special. |
9 |
Grecian Legacy |
Gelded before previous start and fitted with a tongue-tie he upped his game considerably to win a handicap over a similar trip at Goodwood last month. Raised 6lb for that quite stylish victory. |
10 |
Cayman Dancer |
Moves into handicap grade having shown promise on all three starts and proving effective at this trip. A good-looking colt, he finished first at Lingfield last month but was demoted for interference. |
