The Hong Kong Jockey Club is bringing back the ‘Summer Series’ at Sha Tin Racecourse, featuring 4pm start times, live music, entertainment, culinary options and Hong Kong’s world-class horse racing. A total of seven race meetings in the series will be held from Sunday, 8 June to Sunday, 13 July – the ‘Sha Tin Season Finale’ of the current 2024/25 Hong Kong racing season, which concludes on Wednesday, 16 July at Happy Valley with the 88th and final fixture.

Detailed race times of each race meeting are issued after publication of the Entries List, with the first of each ‘Summer Series’ race card scheduled for 4pm.

‘Summer Series’ fixtures at Sha Tin are scheduled as follows:

· 8 June (Sunday)
· 14 June (Saturday)
· 22 June (Sunday)
· 28 June (Saturday)
· 1 July (Tuesday, Hong Kong Reunification Raceday)
· 5 July (Saturday)
· 13 July (Sunday, ‘Sha Tin Season Finale’)

Two Group 3 races headline Sunday, 22 June

· HK$4.2 million G3 Premier Cup Handicap (1400m)
· HK$4.2 million G3 Premier Plate Handicap (1800m)

Live music
Sha Tin will collaborate with ViuTV CHILL BUSKING to present live music performances between races on the stage beneath ‘Mezza One’ at the Public Enclosure (1/F, Grandstand II) during the following race meetings:

14 June (Saturday): ROVER, alongside guitarist Joey Tang.
28 June (Saturday): Pandora and singer-songwriter sica.
5 July (Saturday): Emerging rock bands, Locksmiths and Daze in White.

A delightful selection of culinary options will be offered at Sha Tin during ‘Summer Series’ race meetings in June. After 7.30pm there will be a 50% discount on selected items. #

Sha Tin Racecourse Delights giving away over HK$1 million in prizes
Within Sha Tin Racecourse area, the first 500 participants who have submitted the correct answer in accordance with the instruction at 7.45 pm will receive a designated prize. On top of that, the first 3 participants who participated in all six ‘Shatin Racecourse Delights’ held during 8 June to 5 July and submitted the correct answers in the shortest time will receive a designated 1 tael gold horse. *

Free shuttle bus services
Free shuttle bus services will be available from Sha Tin Racecourse to designated locations in Sha Tin, Kowloon and the New Territories for every ‘Summer Series’ race meeting. The service is offered from 8pm until the last race finishes. Please refer to event page for details.
