Has been holding solid form recently. Cracks the ace draw and will be a serious contender here however has a big weight to carry. Has not won beyond a mile.

Has always been rated by the yard. He is capable on his day He has a top rider aboard which will suit. Place chance.

Ran well when finishing 3rd in a high-class event up in Turffontein. He comes from a powerful yard who are in top form and must be respected here.

Regulation

A horse on the up. The victory at the track was very impressive, cruising through on the extreme inside with a brilliant turn of speed. Huge contender here.

On My Honour

He raced a tad bit wide in his last start and finished a well beaten fourth. He may have needed the outing and can get much closer however he will have to lift his game here.

Litigation

A very honest type, he is capable of much better so that last start is best ignored. Gavin Lerena knows him well so include into the placings as he could represent some value.

Thunee Playa

He ran extremely well in a G3 here last. He has a light mass to shoulder and a huge positive is the fact that Kaidan Brewer is back aboard. Huge runner.

Madison Valley

He has plenty ability and is capable of much better. He ran extremely well in the Summer Cup last year and a repeat performance of that effort will see him in the firing line.

Underworld

Seemed to have had every chance in last start, he had a beautiful position at the rail and hit the front only to be run down that last 200m. The slight drop in trip should play into his hands.

Wild Intent

Loaded with ability, showed his class when running a cracker in the SA Derby. Although he has a tricky draw, he will be in the firing line and must be respected.

Ponte Pietra

Although he would have needed the last run, his recent form is uninspiring. He will prefer much further and should be fitter after his 1000m come-back run. He should get closer but is more of a place hope than a winning hope.

Winter Games

Although he is holding decent form, he meets much stronger here and has his work cut out in this contest. He has a tough draw to negotiate, others preferred.

Zeitz

He is packed with ability and could be very dangerous with a light mass despite the fact he jumps from the widest draw. He has shown his ability in the past and that last run is best ignored, he will be a big factor here with some luck in the running.
