1400m – Turf

1

East Hampton

Proven at this track winning a 1200m maiden here last year. Made the ideal start to 2025, travelling powerfully throughout when comfortably winning a 1400m Naas handicap.

2

Nancy J

A debut winner, landing a 1400m fast-ground Gowran Park maiden last August. Never threatened to win a 1600m G3 here on her 2025 return and this drop in grade looks appropriate.

3

Jagged Edge

A strong-looking gelding who improved from his first to his second start when easily winning a 1600m Cork maiden in April. The drop in trip is not an obvious plus but still with chances.

4

Shameful

Shaped with lots of promise when winning at Newbury on his only 2yo start. Had to give weight all round when reappearing at Kempton in March and his second placing in what was quite a strong novices’ event was very respectable. Possibilities.

5

Glyndwr

Responded well to pressure to win a 1400m maiden at Dundalk last October. Back in trip now, having made little impact on his 2025 return.

6

Iceford

Already quite busy this season with three starts, encouraging performances in second on his last two runs– both at this trip and latterly when fitted with cheekpieces. A strong pace would help.

7

Monotone

Only win so far came over 1000m but looked to handle this trip fine when third at Gowran Park last month. The first-time blinkers looked to help him then.

8

Scott Key

Proved his 2025 credentials when crushing his rivals in a 1600m heavy-ground handicap at Gowran Park in April. Perhaps excuses for a much less good show 5 days later.

9

Far From Dandy

Has moved to Ireland having shown promise in three 2024 starts in UK novice and maiden company, including a Yarmouth victory. Appeared versatile in terms of ground conditions.

10

Powerful Lady

Much too strong for her rivals in a 1600m Dundalk maiden in January. Has so far not done as well in her turf ventures and no great impact here this month.

11

Gangsta Man

Didn’t manage a win during his eleven race two-year-old career. Put that right this month when leading almost from the start to beat 14 rivals at Roscommon. This may prove tougher.
