G3 – 2406m – Turf
| Al Aasy | Has won far more G3s than he has lost, the winning tally now being seven, including a runaway victory in this in 2021. After a six months break he won nicely at Sandown last time. A versatile veteran with a winning chance. |
| Courage Mon Ami | Landed the UK’s most prestigious staying race – the Gold Cup – in 2023. This may be a stepping stone, coming over an inadequate trip and 631 days since his last start. |
| El Cordobes | Following two good placed handicap runs at Meydan, he delivered a clear career best when impressively landing a 2400m Newmarket handicap 14 days ago. Well deserves this rise in class. |
| Eydon | Only one win so far but some good placed efforts in warm company. He has had some lengthy absences between races and does not look an obvious winner this time. |
| King’s Gambit | His last win came when accelerating clear of his rivals in a hot 2000m handicap here about a year ago. Some solid efforts in G1, G2 and G3 races followed. Gelded since his last start. Chance. |
| Raja Raja | Best performance so far was on his final 2024 start when crushing eight rivals in a Southwell handicap. Physically, he looks to have scope for further improvement. |
| Sunway | Landed a 1600m soft-ground G1 at Saint-Cloud as a 2yo. Plenty of terrific efforts over further since including a close second in the 2024 Irish Derby. Likely to be sharper for his 2025 return at Newbury last month. |
| Tabletalk | Career highlight so far came after a 190-day absence and in a G3 over this course and distance last month, just failing to get by the front-running winner. A big horse who stays further than this so a hot pace would help. |
