G1 – 1600m – Turf
| Mandanaba | This impeccably-bred filly is unbeaten after bolting home on Chantilly’s all-weather last year, then following up with an eye catching seasonal reappearance in a G3 five weeks ago, beating a listed winner. Major chance. |
| Zarigana | Trained like Mandanaba by last year’s winning trainer Francis Graffard, she suffered a shock defeat when odds-on in a G1 over course and distance on Arc weekend. She warmed up for Sunday’s classic by winning its recognised G3 trial, shrugging off a 189 day absence. Possessed with a powerful turn of foot she is a worthy likely favourite. |
| Ghoufrann | The first ever runner in a classic for French-based trainer Hedi Ghabri in 10 years. She booked her ticket after a 1L second in a 1400m classic trial in Deauville one month ago. |
| Shes Perfect | Charlie Fellowes’ contender tried to make all but was swamped by the late, fast finishing Zarigana in her French 1,000 Guineas warm-up. She may suffer the same fate on this rematch. |
| Godspeed | Unraced as a two-year-old she won on her career debut in February, but was well held when third in a G3, beaten by 2.3L, over course and distance. |
| Bedtime Story | Aidan O’Brien’s raider had a busy two-year-old campaign, and was at one stage ante-post favourite for the English 1000 Guineas and Epsom Oaks. She ran poorly when trying to make all but finishing last of the five runners in a G1 on her penultimate start in September, reportedly lame after the race. |
| Exactly | Definitely one to consider. Placed in five Group contests in 2024, including secured third place, beaten only by 1/2L, in a G1 at ParisLongchamp in October. She then turned out to gain a well deserved G3 success on her last start at two, warming up for Sunday’s test when second in her prep in March. |
| Merrily | One of the more battle-hardened fillies in the field. This American-bred Irish visitor turns out for her eighth race evidently in need of the run when only ninth on her seasonal bow. A G3 winner at two with give in the ground. |
| Daylight | A G3 winner last year she then displayed plenty of speed when finishing third and second over 1200m in G1s in Deauville and Newmarket. Placed over 1400m on her warm-up, stepping up in trip for first time. |
| Mimos | Picked up a G3 over 1400m at Chantilly late last season but was well held when fourth in a G3 last month. Others preferred. |
| Better Together | Master French trainer Andre Fabre’s candidate to win the fillies’ classic for the first time since 2011 is a classy individual. Second on her racecourse bow she is unbeaten on her three starts since, all at Deauville, the last in a G3, one of the recognised classic trials, last month. |
| Heavens Gate | A G3 winner as a juvenile but last of 15 on her 2025 reappearance four weeks ago. She faces a stiff task in this hot company. |
| Celestial Orbit | Second, beaten under 2L, in a Newmarket G3 a few weeks ago after picking up two wins from three starts in 2024, one in listed company. Place prospects. |
