1400m – Turf

Antano Ballade 29 starts and only one win, eight others in the top three. Tried over dirt and turf, overall speed lacking. Likely not a contender here.
Divine Grace Last seven starts with best a fourth, but three double-digit finishes. Limited options thus far likely a factor, but speed isn’t great. Not promising.
Effortless Highly consistent with all but his second start on the board, six in the money. Interference, late break, wide draws, conditions haven’t come together just right. Only a matter of time before he wins.
El Professor Recent performance lacking with best fourth only at flat Kokura course. Most likely not competitive here.
G T Muteki Has had four starts at this level with best a sixth-place finish. Speed likely not competitive here.
Hakusan Eagle Broke maiden over Tokyo 1400m but posted 11-8 in subsequent two tries over same conditions. Has decent speed but one gear. Finished 6-5-5 in last three outings over 1600m. Less distance not likely a plus.
Kyoei Cancer Has best a fifth-place finish in last 10 starts (all others off the board) since late 2023. Lacks speed. Likely not competitive here.
Logical Words Has yet to win but has two seconds and two thirds and has been racing in two-win company with a 7-2-5 record. Drop in class may prove favourable. Good late kick. Could do well.
Love Squall Made third in G3 company last year and has three thirds from seven subsequent starts. Often late at break but has decent late kick. First time over 1400m. Drop in distance likely not a plus unless she has improved at break.
Tequila Waltz Four double-digit finishes over last starts, all at 1200m. Lacks speed. Likely outclassed here.
Win Lagurus Posted huge gain in weight last out at end of March and stayed at rear of field for entire race. No data to support any sign of hope for success here.
Yell To Heaven Has been winless since fourth career start 23 starts ago. Finished third over Tokyo 1400m last June, but tends to run off the pace and recent finishes indicate less distance is not a plus. Late turn of foot also not sharp.
