2100m – Dirt

Aurea Mist

Finished in top three in three career starts. Showed the impressive turn of foot to claim his first win in Maiden (1900m) at Kyoto in February last time.

Bakken Record

Changed to dirt in the seventh start last time and justified his favoritism to drive clearly for a 1.3L win over 2000m at Hanshin.

Chimpun Kampun

After winning Maiden (1800m) by 1/2L at Nakayama, he has shown little in two starts in this class. On-pace then weakened, finished 9th at Nakayama 1800m last time.

Dependable

Broke her maiden over this course and distance two starts ago but finished 7th in this class (1800m) last time.

Fire Trick

Broke his maiden at Tokyo 1600m in October, but found it hard to win in recent three starts over turf this term.

Haruno Arashi

Finished on the board in all 10 starts.  Scored first winner by a neck in Maiden (1800m) in March.  Encouraging effort with 4th and 5th place in recent two starts in this class.

Mercury Dime

Won against experienced runners in Maiden (1800m) as her debut last time. Settled well just behind the leaders and produced another gear to score by a neck.

Mount Vernon

Broke his maiden over this course and distance in his second start. Finished seventh in the first start in this class at Nakayama, but may be disadvantaged by the tight turns.

Otamajakushi

Won in Maiden (1800m) by 3L with a remarkable late speed in December. Well-beaten by Luxor Cafe, G1 Kentucky Derby (2000m) runner this year, in this class in January. Lacked the strong finishing kick and finished 10th last time.

Pikapika Thunder

Finished a half-length 2nd in Newcomer (1800m) in August.  After two defeats, he took a completely different approach to lead from the start and held off the runner-up by half a length last time. The forward tactics clearly brought out improvement.

Schalkhaft

Ended his losing streak in the eighth start when burst his speed to win Maiden (2000m) at Hanshin in March.  Failed to show his strong stretch run and finished 5th in the 1-win class (2200m, turf) last time.

Shiny Ship

Broke his maiden (1800m) in September and has been consistently competitive since. Showed a sustained turn of foot. Stepping up in distance may be a plus.

Smart Cuore

Secured first win in his eighth start in Maiden (1800m) at Nakayama last time with a strong late kick.

Sokuzumo Doradora

Won in Maiden (1800m) by 0.8L in December.  Showed little last two starts in this class.

Sydney Hobart

Took his long-awaited first win in Maiden (1800m) in March last time. Justified his favoritism when showing lots of progress and winning by 7L.

Taisei Kaiser

Claimed his first win in Maiden (1800m) by 2.5L in his debut at Chukyo, showing brilliant turn of speed. Well beaten over 1800m in this class last time out.
