G3 – 1000m – Turf

Clarendon House Blessed with gate speed, as he showed again when gaining the tenth win of his career in Listed company at Southwell in February. A repeat of that back on grass would give him a serious chance.
Democracy Dilemma All his seven wins have come over this speed trip. A front-running type who has his chance here though a bit of a worry is that his trainer has said in the past that he may be better on a flatter track than this.
No Half Measures Has an impressive winning strike-rate, her most recent success being a G3 sprint victory at Newbury. Never one to be ignored though she may be best on a slowish surface.
Rumstar The only time he has competed over this course and distance was one of his best performances – winning a G3 in 2022. Closed down 2024 with an impressive Ascot win.
Seven Questions Always prominently positioned he led near the end to win this G3 prize last year. Much depends on his mood as he is as quirky and complicated as he is talented.
Twilight Calls His three career wins came earlier in his career but they did include a decisive handicap victory – under top weight – over this course and distance. Not beaten far in any of his five starts last season.
Washington Heights Although finding G1 company too hot on various occasions last year he had earlier landed a 1200m G3 here. His second in a local G3 in Qatar in February counts as a positive start to 2025.
Beautiful Diamond Ran a terrific and close third in this last year so no worries after a return from a similar absence this time. Some very good subsequent 2024 runs for this filly who is all about speed. Chance.
Pepsi Cat Ratings and the fact that she is probably best at around 1000m – including a victory here nearly year ago – would suggest that she is hard to recommend.
She’s Quality This Irish-trained filly was rapid from the gates when dominating a good-ground ten-runner Listed race at Tipperary last September. Chance if she can reproduce that career-best effort here.
Tropical Storm Had already delivered some big performances – jockey Oisin Murphy reckoned he was the best maiden in the country – before he gained his first win. That came in Listed company at York. Chances if cherry-ripe for this 2025 return.
