G1 – 2000m – Turf

1 Nishino Agent Won the two previous starts at Nakayama, a maiden race (1800m) and the G3 Keisei Hai (2000m). Raced rear and displayed his acceleration to win by a neck in the Keisei Hai.
2 Eri King Purchased at 2023 JRHA Select Sale Yearling Session for 231,000,000 yen, the Susumu Fujita-owned colt secured his third straight win in the G3 Kyoto Nisai Stakes (2000m) last November but was found to be injured. First appearance since then.
3 King Squall Won the newcomer race (1800m) at Sapporo in July, winning in 1:47.8, setting the new 2-year-old turf track record. Then had a long spell due to an injury to his left fore leg. Returned in the G2 Spring Stakes (1800m) in March, when he missed the break but showed the determined late charge and finished 3rd to secure the priority entry spot for this race.
4 Tjuta 352,000,000 yen purchase at 2022 JRHA Select Sale Foal session. 4th in the G1 Hopeful Stakes (2000m) was a commendable effort, considering it was only his second career race and first try at the G1 level.
5 Giovanni Won the listed race Wakaba Stakes (2000m) in March for his second win in five starts and justified his favoritism.
6 Masquerade Ball 3 wins in 4 starts. Bounced back from disappointing 11th in the G1 Hopeful Stakes (2000m) and won decisively the G3 Kyodo News Hai (1800m) last time.
7 Fukuno Blue Lake Has shown consistency over 1800m and 2000m, finishing in the top three in recent five starts. Beaten only by a neck second in the G2 Spring Stakes (1800m) in March last time.
8 G T Adamant Unbeaten in two starts. Made all the way to win the listed race Sumire Stakes (2200m) at Hanshin last time. 
9 Piko Chan Black Showed a big improvement from disappointing 13th finish in the G1 Hopeful Stakes (2000m) and claimed the G2 Spring Stakes (1800m) over the rain-affected track last time. Races handy or can take lead.
10 Croix Du Nord The main focus with unbeaten in three runs. Races versatile.  Surged ahead in the stretch with a lot left in his tank in the G1 Hopeful Stakes over this course and distance last time.
11 Museum Mile 2nd in the G1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes (1600m). Finished 4th over a softer track in the G2 Yayoi Sho (Deep Impact Kinen) (2000m) last time.
12 Dragon Boost The son of Screen Hero won a maiden race (1600m) and finished second in the subsequent G2 Daily Hai Nisai Stakes (1600m) last autumn. Ran a good 2nd over the first-time 2000m in the G3 Keisei Hai last time.
13 Alohi Alii Finished in the top three in three starts over this distance.  Ran 0.5L third in the G2 Yayoi Sho (Deep Impact Kinen) (2000m) over this course last time.
14 Kalamatianos Ran a good 2nd in the G3 Kyodo News Hai (1800m) in February last time. Has shown consistency, finishing in the top three in five career runs. 
15 Vincentio Trained by Kazutomo Mori who won his first G1 in the Oka Sho last week in his second year as a trainer, the son of Real Steel was beaten by a neck in 2nd in the G2 Yayoi Sho (Deep Impact Kinen) (2000m) last time.
16 Satono Shining Finished 0.8L second in the G2 Tokyo Sports Hai Nisai Stakes (1800m) in November, then changed tactics and displayed a decent win by 3L in the G3 Kisaragi Sho (1800m) last time.
17 Faust Rasen Sent off as an outsider but finished a good 3rd in the G1 Hopeful Stakes (2000m). He boldly surged forward again and fended off the runner-up in the G2 Yayoi Sho (Deep Impact Kinen) (2000m).
18 Magic Sands The winner of the G3 Sapporo Nisai Stakes (1800m) was found to be injured after finishing disappointing 16th in the G1 Hopeful Stakes (2000m). First run since.
