The Hong Kong Jockey Club purchased four attractive colts at the recent 2025 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale (6-7 April) in Sydney, Australia for a total outlay of AU$1.79 million (approx. HK$8.749 million).

The Club’s highest-priced purchase was Lot 129 – a youngster by Siyouni for AU$650,000. The chestnut’s dam is Roselyne, a half-sibling to quality Group 1 winner Danceteria. Siyouni’s leading progeny in Hong Kong includes eight-time winner Leading Fortune, five-time winner Righteous Doctrine and recently, Johannes Brahms, third and sixth in the 2025 Hong Kong Classic Cup (1800m) and BMW Hong Kong Derby (2000m), respectively.

Lot 166 – an athletic son of Zousain – fell the Club’s way for AU$260,000. The dam of the colt, Silk Trail, is a half-sister to 2024 G1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) winner Private Life.

The Club’s third purchase was a son of I Am Invincible – sold as Lot 204 – for AU$460,000. The yearling’s full sister Infatuation is a winner at Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens, while his half-sister Gotta Kiss won three times in Brisbane and was second to Rothfire in the 2020 G1 J.J. Atkins (1400m) at Eagle Farm.

Lot 251 was secured for AU$420,000 and the bay colt hails from the same family as Star Witness, Nostradamus and Embracer. Zoustar is the sire of quality Hong Kong performers including Group 3 winners Patch Of Theta and Healthy Happy, as well as Magic Supreme, Californiatotality, Summit Cheers, Quadruple Double and Super Fortune.
