G1 – 1400m – Turf

1

Rivellino

Brilliant colt who won his first three starts which included the G2 Skyline Stakes (1200m) at Randwick two starts ago. Big run last start when he finished 4th behind Marhoona in the G1 Golden Slipper (1200m) as he had to go back after jumping out. He finished on powerfully and 1400m will suit.

2

Wodeton

Top class colt who ran on from a long way back for 0.14L 2nd to Marhoona, in the G1 Golden Slipper (1200m), at Rosehill on 22 March. One of the leading chances.

3

Vinrock

Classy Melbourne colt who has won both of his starts. Last start he led throughout to win the G2 VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) at Flemington by 2 lengths on 8 March. Take catching.

4

Prestige Forever

Promising Melbourne colt who had little trouble taking out the Listed St Albans Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on 22 March by 3.75 lengths. Shapes as if the 1400m will suit.

5

State Visit

He’s shown nice ability in his two starts. He ran on from last for 3.77L 3rd to Skyhook in G3 Pago Pago Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill, on 15 March. The 1400m will suit.

6

Buffalo

He broke through at his fourth start on his home track at Newcastle in a 1200m Maiden on 20 March. Not far away at his previous start when he finished 2.1L 6th to Tentyris in G2 Todman Stakes (1200m) at Randwick. It gives him claims.

7

Nordic Viking

He hasn’t been far away in his three starts. Place claims on his last run which was 1.99L 4th to King Of Pop in G3 Black Opal Stakes (1200m) at Canberra on 9 March.

8

Navy Pilot

He went back to last from his outside barrier and gave away a huge start at his debut before he flew home for 1.26 5th to Stormland at Kensington (1000m) on 13 March. In Ciaron Maher stable and has a lot of talent.

9

Federalist

Well-bred colt who didn’t have any luck at his debut when he finished 3.31L 5th in a field of six in a 1200m maiden at Newcastle on 20 March. Winkers go on.

10

Bellazaine

She set the pace in the G1 Golden Slipper (1200m) when she led from her outside barrier and was tired late for 4.3L 8th to Marhoona at Rosehill on 22 March. Should take catching.
