HKJC Horse Race Betting Limited will simulcast a total of 12 overseas races in Hong Kong on Saturday, 29 March, including three races of Australian Cup Day from Flemington Racecourse in Australia, three races of Tancred Stakes Day from Rosehill Racecourse in Australia and six races of SA Derby Day from Turffontein Racecourse in South Africa. Bets will be accepted* for these races.
World Pool will be offered in all these three meetings to ensure maximum liquidity for racing fans. For races of Australian Cup Day and Tancred Stakes Day, World Pool will be available on Win, Place, Quinella, Quinella Place and Tierce. For races of SA Derby Day, World Pool will be available on Win, Place, Quinella, Quinella Place and Forecast.
Under World Pool branding as one of the betting partners of the three meetings, the HKJC has naming rights for three races of the meetings, namely HKJC World Pool Sprint Classic (S1-2), HKJC World Pool Handicap (S2-3) and HKJC World Pool Premier’s Champions Challenge (S3-3).
Race times and betting pools
The simulcast races of Australian Cup Day are scheduled as S1-1 to S1-3, and are due to start at 12:05 pm on 29 March. The simulcast races of Tancred Stakes Day are scheduled as S2-1 to S2-3, and are due to start at 1:35 pm on the same afternoon. The simulcast races of SA Derby Day are scheduled as S3-1 to S3-6, and are due to start at 8:25 pm on the same evening. Details of the post time and betting pools are:

“S1”, “S2” or “S3” must be indicated for overseas race bets
Customers betting with cash or through Digital Channels** on overseas races should mark the “S1 box”, “S2 box” or “S3 box” and race number on the ticket or as required by the Digital Channels** interfaces. Those placing bets via Telebet should clearly indicate the overseas race and race number to the operators. Those using the 1886 Telebet Automated Services should input “overseas race” and the race number, respectively.
If “S1 box”, “S2 box” or “S3 box” is not indicated as required, any bets placed will be accepted as bets for the corresponding local race.
Odds and starter information for overseas races
The odds and starter information for overseas races will be available at all OCBBs# and via Digital Channels**.
Ticket sales arrangement for the overseas races
Tickets for Australian Cup Day (S1) and Tancred Stakes Day (S2) will be available for sale from 12:00 noon on Friday, 28 March. Tickets for SA Derby Day (S3) will be available for sale from 2:00 pm on Saturday, 29 March. (Subject to further announcement by the Club)
