G1 – 2000m – Turf
| Royal Victory | Last year’s winner who runs his best races at Turffontein. Did not have much luck in the Summer Cup but does meet Atticus Finch on 7lb better terms. Winning chance. |
| Purple Pitcher | Dual G1 winner at this course last year and was runner-up in the Summer Cup. Has had an excellent prep and should fight out the finish. |
| Atticus Finch | Summer Cup winner over this course and distance last November but badly weighted with Purple Pitcher and Royal Victory. Has place prospects. |
| Son Of Raj | Won the G3 London News Stakes but will struggle to beat this field at the weights. Will need improvement to confirm that form. Place chance. |
| Imilenzeyokududuma | The KwaZulu-Natal raider had an excellent introduction to Turffontein when third in the G1 H F Oppenheimer Horse Chestnut Stakes but has not won beyond 1750m. May not see out the distance. |
| Hotarubi | Had some good runs behind Purple Pitcher last season but looks unlikely to turn the form around. Would do well to finish in the places. |
| Navajo Nation | Has not won since September 2023 and has not performed well at the top echelons of the sport. Unlikely to trouble this field. |
| Silver Sanctuary | Classy filly but she has not shown her best side for some time. Held by the likes of Son Of Raj and Purple Pitcher based on London News Stakes form. |
| None Other | A 4.25-length winner of a Pinnacle Stakes over this course and distance but failed in the London News Stakes. Could place at best. |
| Fire Attack | Talented three-year-old who needed his last run when a 0.7-length second in the G1 SA Classic. Well weighted and is the runner to beat. |
| Chestnut Bomber | Another three-year-old but not certain to see out the distance. He is also well held by Fire Attack. Place chance at best. |
