This morning MODEST GENTLEMAN, which is engaged to race in the aforementioned race, dislodged its rider after completing trackwork and galloped riderless for approximately two laps of the Small All Weather Track before being captured.

A Veterinary Officer from the Department of Veterinary Regulation, Welfare and Biosecurity Policy has since examined MODEST GENTLEMAN and passed the horse suitable to be presented for its pre-race veterinary inspection to be conducted tomorrow morning.
