Has not won since October, 2023 but raced competitively at Group level last year. Has won up to 1400m and trialled nicely when 4th over 1050m at Randwick last month. One of the chances first-up.

Commemorative 

Smart mare trained by James Cummings and returned with a strong-finishing third behind Inhibitions at Randwick over 1200m. Placed at Group 3 level and has developed into a highly consistent competitor. One of the chances.

Kundalini 

Talented sprinter who was consistent last year at Group level. Had excuses when resuming when 8th to Inhibitions. Can improve sharply second-up and one of the leading hopes.

Junqueira

Yet to win in 4 attempts at Randwick, but finished powerfully when first-up last start to win over 1250m at Canterbury last month. That win was her first success in more than a year. This is a big challenge.

Shezanalister 

Another consistent sprinting mare who continues to race well for trainer Bjorn Baker. Resumed with strong 1000m win at Randwick before narrow defeat at Rosehill over 1100m. Cannot be ruled out.

Spring Lee 

Has returned in good form for Bjorn Baker and scored last start under James McDonald over this course and distance.  Races well at Randwick is another of the main contenders.

Clear Thinking

Rapidly improving mare, who has had only 5 starts as a five-year-old, stringing together 4 wins from 5 starts. Her only defeat came last start when second to Inhibitions over 1200m at Randwick when she charged late. One of the main hopes.

The Black Cloud 

Yet to show her best form this year but cannot be ruled out on the basis of her consistent record with 4 wins and 3 placings from 10 starts. In a strong stable and likes to race on the speed.

Confess Our Dreams 

Speedy mare who has built a good record with 5 wins and 2 placings from 10 starts. Likes to race close to the pace and will be prominent for a long way. Is yet to win beyond 1100m, but hails from a strong stable and commands respect.

Outback Miss 

In wonderful form with 2 excellent wins this year over 1000m and 1100m for in-form stable. Racing at a career-peak but is untried at this distance and is stepping up sharply in grade.

Cosmonova

Another consistent sprinter with 5 wins and a placing from 11 attempts. Unbeaten in two starts at 1200m and won one of them at Randwick. Resumed with a close 5th last month. This is her biggest test but is trained by Joseph Pride.

Hellcibell

Country-trained mare who is yet to miss a placing in 7 starts with 4 wins and 3 placings. Relishes this distance with 3 wins and 2 placings over 1200m. This is a significant rise in class, but her ability to race on the speed is an asset.
