The Stewards have approved an application submitted by Mr C S Shum, the trainer of last start winner BLAZING WIND, to add Sheepskin Cheek Pieces to the gear carried by that horse in the stated race.

The Stewards interviewed Mr Shum who confirmed that Jockey James McDonald, who rode BLAZING WIND to win at Sha Tin on 19 January 2025, advised the horse lacked concentration after improving to the lead in the Home Straight.  BLAZING WIND worked with Sheepskin Cheek Pieces added at Sha Tin on 2 February 2025 and had pleased him in that gallop.
